Bill Speedy was born in Queensland. He spent his early childhood in the bush, with the best teacher, Mother Nature herself.

Bill missed out on formal schooling but caught up later by going to Adult Education and has spent many years working in the tourism industry. He is currently a senior driver and guide for the Wayward Bus company.
