Dave Richards wandered into Alice Springs on a whim nearly 25 years ago. He fell in love with the Todd River, which was dry at the time, and to finance and justify his continuing romance with the Centre he has worked for various publications including The Australian, HQ, The Independent Monthly and The Australasian Post. He is currently working as a broadcaster at the ABC.
